1988 | Unilab Health Founded
With decades of experience in reproductive medicine, Dr. Cortes founded Unilab Health to support clinicians and patients through accurate endocrine testing and in-cycle monitoring. The laboratory was built to combine scientific precision with a strong understanding of fertility care.
1991 | It's All in The Family
Dr. Cortes’ son, Julio, joined Unilab in 1991 and continues to support the mission his father began. Now President, Julio has led the laboratory through key technological advancements and is guiding the team through the expansion into at-home health testing.
2005 | Reproductive Donor Testing
In 2005, Unilab introduced infectious disease testing and comprehensive reproductive donor screening. Unilab remains one of the few FDA-registered laboratories for donor testing and a trusted partner within the reproductive health community.
2024 | Launched At-Home Health Testing
Through a partnership with RedDrop, Unilab expanded its health test offerings to include at-home testing. With a self-collection blood device designed for home use, individuals can access Unilab’s laboratory standards without visiting a clinic.
